- Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams on engineering design, analysis, and troubleshooting tasks related to energy systems and infrastructure.
- Assist in the development and optimization of engineering projects that support Xcel Energy’s operations, sustainability goals, and customer service excellence.
- Participate in project planning, development, and execution processes, ensuring alignment with industry standards, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Conduct research, prepare reports, and present findings on various engineering projects, recommending improvements or solutions.
- Use engineering software tools for simulations, modeling, and analysis.
- Provide support for testing and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
- Participate in team meetings and workshops, contributing ideas and insights for innovation and efficiency.
- Contribute to cross-functional teams across different engineering disciplines, gaining exposure to multiple areas of expertise.
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate from an accredited university in an engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, or Industrial Engineering).
- Expected graduation date in 2025 or have graduated in the past 12 months.
- A strong academic record, with an emphasis on engineering principles and problem-solving.
- Previous internship or work experience in an engineering-related field is desirable but not required.
- Hands-on experience with engineering design, software tools, or project management is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
