- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in daily tasks, including patient exams, diagnostics, and treatments.
- Support the preparation and handling of animals for surgeries, dental cleanings, and other procedures.
- Conduct patient intake, gather medical history, and communicate with pet owners under supervision.
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including sterilization of tools and sanitation of work areas.
- Observe and practice basic procedures such as lab tests, vaccinations, and wound care under professional supervision.
- Participate in case discussions, rounds, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Provide compassionate care and ensure the comfort and well-being of animal patients.
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited veterinary school (DVM or equivalent) or veterinary technician program.
- Strong academic record in relevant coursework, especially in anatomy, physiology, and animal health.
- Demonstrated interest in animal care, medicine, and client communication.
- Prior experience in a veterinary clinic, animal shelter, or related setting is beneficial but not required.
- Experience working with animals and handling various breeds and species safely and compassionately.
