The TECO Energy Internship Graduate Program is designed to provide recent graduates and graduate-level students with an immersive experience in the energy industry. This program aims to develop future leaders by equipping interns with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to excel in various aspects of the energy business, including operations, engineering, finance, and sustainability.
- Support various departments within TECO Energy, including engineering, operations, finance, and environmental services.
- Participate in cross-functional projects that focus on areas such as renewable energy, grid optimization, energy storage, and customer engagement.
- Analyze data and reports to assist in making data-driven decisions that improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements, particularly in sustainability and environmental impact.
- Attend regular meetings, training sessions, and presentations to gain insight into the workings of the energy industry.
- Prepare presentations and reports to summarize project findings and propose recommendations.
- Assist with day-to-day tasks within your assigned department to gain a thorough understanding of TECO Energy's operations.
- Recent graduates or students currently enrolled in a master’s program in engineering, environmental science, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Prior internship or work experience in the energy, utilities, engineering, or related industries is preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated experience working on projects or coursework related to energy, sustainability, or environmental management is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with data analysis software.
