Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RI&S) is offering paid internship opportunities for Summer 2025, providing students with the chance to work on cutting-edge projects that contribute to the national security and defense landscape. This program is designed for students passionate about technology, engineering, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and more. Interns will gain hands-on experience, working with teams on real-world projects that advance the development of innovative solutions within the intelligence, defense, and space sectors.
As an RI&S Intern, you will:
- Participate in projects within your field of study, which may include areas such as software engineering, cybersecurity, systems integration, data analysis, artificial intelligence, radar systems, and aerospace engineering.
- Work closely with RI&S professionals to support ongoing projects, applying your knowledge and learning about advanced technologies in a real-world setting.
- Collaborate on research, development, and problem-solving tasks, contributing to innovative solutions for defense and intelligence challenges.
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and technical reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
- Participate in meetings, technical training sessions, and professional development workshops.
- Document project progress, findings, and insights, and present them to RI&S teams and leadership at the conclusion of the internship.
Note: Duties may vary depending on the assigned department and project focus.
- Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related disciplines.
- Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 or higher (may vary by position).
- U.S. citizenship may be required due to security clearance requirements for some positions.
- Relevant coursework or project-based experience in your field of study, such as engineering, cybersecurity, or computer science.
- Previous internship, project, or research experience in a technical or engineering environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with industry-standard tools, technologies, and programming languages (e.g., Python, C++, MATLAB, CAD, etc.) is a plus.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong foundation in relevant technical concepts; proficiency in programming languages or engineering tools as applicable.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and creativity.
