The Presbyterian Internship Program offers university students an opportunity to gain meaningful experience in a faith-based environment while contributing to various community service projects, administrative work, and church-related outreach programs. This internship will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the Presbyterian Church's mission, values, and operations in the United States. Interns will develop leadership skills, deepen their spiritual growth, and experience the work of the Church firsthand.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing community outreach and church service projects.
- Support church leadership in managing events, worship services, and programs.
- Participate in administrative duties, including managing communication, maintaining records, and assisting with social media.
- Work directly with church members and community organizations to foster relationships and engage in local missions.
- Help develop educational resources and programs related to faith, spirituality, and community engagement.
- Attend regular training and mentoring sessions designed to promote spiritual and professional development.
- Contribute to team meetings, offering creative ideas for church programs and activities.
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the church office as needed, including data entry, filing, and correspondence.
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program, ideally in theology, religious studies, community service, social work, or related fields.
- Strong commitment to the mission and values of the Presbyterian Church.
- Active participation in a faith-based community is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic knowledge of social media platforms is an advantage.
- Previous experience in volunteering, event coordination, or community engagement is desirable but not essential.
- Experience working with diverse populations or in non-profit settings is a plus.
