PPL Corporation is seeking talented and motivated students for its Internship Research Opportunities in 2025. Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting research and analysis in energy systems, sustainability, and smart grid technologies.
  • Support the development of reports, presentations, and technical documentation for ongoing research projects.
  • Participate in data collection, modeling, and simulations to inform decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to brainstorm and develop new ideas and solutions.
  • Conduct literature reviews and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements.
  • Present research findings to senior staff and contribute to strategic recommendations.
  • Assist with project management tasks, ensuring research deadlines are met.
Qualifications
  • Enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Energy Systems, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Strong academic performance with an interest in research and development in the energy sector.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Experience
  • Prior internship or research experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with research methods, data collection, and analysis is a plus.
  • Familiarity with relevant software tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, Excel, etc.) is advantageous.
Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to present complex information in a clear and understandable manner.
