The NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) Internship for Graduate Students 2025 is an enriching program designed to provide hands-on experience in environmental science, research, and policy. - Conduct research and data analysis to support NOAA’s ongoing environmental and climate projects.
- Assist in the design and implementation of fieldwork studies, surveys, and data collection processes.
- Collaborate with NOAA scientists on the development of climate, ocean, or atmospheric models.
- Prepare research reports, presentations, and scientific summaries for both internal and public audiences.
- Participate in team meetings, briefings, and outreach events related to NOAA’s work.
- Support NOAA’s communication efforts by developing educational materials or social media content.
- Assist with administrative and logistical support for field projects or laboratory work as required.
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Environmental Science, Marine Biology, Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Data Science, Environmental Policy, or a related field.
- Strong academic record with a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
- Demonstrated interest in environmental science, research, or policy.
- Prior internship or research experience in environmental sciences, fieldwork, laboratory work, or data analysis is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with scientific data analysis software or tools, such as R, Python, or GIS, is advantageous.
- Experience working on group projects and collaborative research initiatives.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with a focus on environmental or climate data.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with scientific programming languages (e.g., Python, R) or GIS tools.
