Description
The Marine Corps Internship Program provides undergraduate and graduate students with an immersive experience in one of the United States' most respected military organizations. This internship offers valuable exposure to various Marine Corps operations, including logistics, intelligence, cyber security, engineering, public affairs, and more. Interns will gain firsthand experience working alongside military and civilian personnel, contributing to meaningful projects that support national defense and security.
Responsibilities
- Project Support: Assist Marine Corps personnel in project planning, execution, and assessment within assigned departments.
- Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to support decision-making in operational and administrative capacities.
- Research and Reporting: Conduct research relevant to assigned projects and prepare reports, briefs, or presentations for military and civilian stakeholders.
- Administrative Assistance: Provide support with various administrative tasks, such as scheduling, documentation, and data entry as needed.
- Field Exposure: Participate in field visits, training sessions, and exercises to understand Marine Corps operations and protocols better.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with Marine Corps personnel, gaining insights into teamwork and communication within a structured organization.
Qualifications
- Education: Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in fields such as Political Science, International Relations, Engineering, Cyber Security, Public Administration, or related areas.
- Academic Standing: Strong academic performance, with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher (or equivalent).
- Authorization: Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to work in the United States.
Experience
- Relevant Coursework: Familiarity with or coursework in government, defense, international relations, engineering, data analysis, or other related fields.
- Extracurricular Activities: Participation in leadership programs, clubs, or volunteer initiatives related to public service or defense is preferred.
- Prior Experience: Any experience in a military or defense-related role is beneficial but not required.
