Responsibilities
- Assist in research projects by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data.
- Support administrative tasks within academic departments and research teams.
- Contribute to the preparation of presentations, reports, and publications.
- Help in the design and execution of experiments or simulations (depending on department).
- Collaborate with faculty and staff on a range of projects, gaining exposure to diverse academic and professional environments.
- Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Provide technical and logistical support for events, conferences, and outreach activities.
- Take part in regular reviews and feedback sessions with mentors to track progress and development.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree program at a recognized university.
- A strong academic background in a relevant field (e.g., science, engineering, business, humanities, etc.).
- Must be available for the full duration of the internship as per the specified dates in 2025.
- Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the internship.
Experience
- Previous internship or project experience in a relevant field is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in working with academic teams or involvement in university-based projects is a plus.
- Prior exposure to data collection, analysis, and report writing will be beneficial.
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and software (e.g., MATLAB, R, Python, SPSS) is a plus, depending on the department.
