The Homes England Internship Placements Program 2025 offers a unique opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to gain hands-on experience in the housing and urban development sector. Responsibilities

As part of the Homes England Internship Placements Program, interns will have the opportunity to contribute to the following areas:

  • Project Support: Assist in the planning, delivery, and monitoring of housing projects, working alongside project managers and development teams.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on housing trends, market conditions, policies, and best practices to support decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and partners to foster effective communication and ensure the smooth delivery of projects.
  • Policy and Strategy Development: Contribute to the development of policies, strategies, and reports that support the mission of increasing housing supply and creating better homes.
  • Data Analysis: Support the analysis and presentation of data to help evaluate the performance and impact of housing initiatives.
  • Administrative Tasks: Provide administrative support to senior staff, including preparing documents, coordinating meetings, and maintaining records.
Qualifications
  • Educational Background: Currently enrolled in or recently completed a relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree (e.g., Urban Planning, Architecture, Real Estate, Public Policy, Economics, Business, or related fields).
  • Eligibility: Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK for the duration of the placement.
Experience
  • Preferred but not essential: Previous experience in housing, urban development, public policy, or a related field (internships, volunteering, or academic projects).
  • Demonstrated interest in public service and housing development, with a passion for making a tangible impact on communities and the built environment.
Skills
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and engage with different stakeholders.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong research and analytical skills, with an ability to process and interpret data to support decision-making.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to approach tasks with a problem-solving mindset, demonstrating initiative and creativity.
  • Time Management: Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • IT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.
