The FirstEnergy Internship Program 2025 offers students the chance to gain real-world experience in the energy industry while developing essential skills for a career in utilities and energy solutions. - Collaborate with FirstEnergy professionals on projects relevant to your field of study, such as power generation, transmission and distribution, finance, IT, and customer service.
- Conduct research, analysis, and evaluations to support ongoing projects or departmental needs.
- Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities related to electrical systems, data analysis, and other technical areas.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions, and site visits to understand industry practices and standards.
- Create reports and presentations to summarize findings, propose solutions, and present them to supervisors or team members.
- Adhere to FirstEnergy’s safety standards, policies, and regulations in all activities.
- Complete other tasks as assigned to support FirstEnergy’s operations and business objectives.
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, majoring in engineering, environmental science, computer science, finance, business, or a related field.
- Junior or senior undergraduate students or graduate students are preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be willing to comply with FirstEnergy’s drug-free workplace and safety policies.
- Previous internship or work experience in a related field (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with energy industry practices, environmental policies, or business operations is an advantage.
