The FEMA Recent Graduate Program is designed to equip recent graduates with practical experience in disaster response, recovery, preparedness, and resilience-building. Interns in FEMA’s Recent Graduate Program will:
- Assist in disaster response and recovery activities: Support FEMA teams in mobilizing resources, coordinating with local authorities, and aiding communities during and after disasters.
- Analyze data and contribute to research: Participate in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to emergency management operations, risk assessment, and community resilience.
- Develop and improve FEMA programs: Contribute to the planning and implementation of FEMA’s emergency management, public education, and community outreach initiatives.

Candidates for the FEMA Recent Graduate Program must:
- Be a recent graduate (within the last two years) from an accredited U.S. college or university.
