Description
The Deca Internship Undergraduate Students Program is designed to give students hands-on experience within a professional setting, developing skills and knowledge in areas such as marketing, finance, product development, technology, and more. This program aims to foster growth by engaging interns in meaningful work, enabling them to contribute to Deca’s mission and strategic goals.
Responsibilities
- Support team projects by conducting research, data analysis, and contributing creative ideas.
- Assist with creating presentations, reports, and project documentation for team meetings.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, team meetings, and departmental events.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gain a well-rounded understanding of various business processes.
- Complete individual assignments related to business needs, receiving constructive feedback to support learning and improvement.
- Attend professional development workshops, mentorship meetings, and networking events.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student with a major in Business, Marketing, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- Completion of at least sophomore year by the internship start date.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent (may vary based on position).
Experience
- Previous internship, part-time job, or volunteer experience in relevant fields (e.g., business, finance, or marketing) is an advantage.
- Experience with research, analysis, or project coordination is beneficial.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a willingness to ask questions and engage with others.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) or Google Workspace.
