The Dane County Airport Internship offers an exciting opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in airport operations, management, and customer service. Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily airport operations, including customer service, baggage handling, security processes, and terminal management.
  • Help manage flight schedules and coordinate with airline representatives.
  • Participate in maintaining airport facilities and ensuring a smooth check-in and boarding process for passengers.
  • Assist in data entry, documentation, and administrative tasks related to airport operations.
  • Support the airport’s marketing and communications teams in promoting services and events.
  • Participate in safety drills and understand emergency protocols.
  • Collaborate with various airport departments to gain insight into the functioning of the airport as a whole.
  • Provide customer service support, including addressing passenger inquiries, directing passengers to appropriate gates or services, and resolving minor issues.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student with an expected graduation year of 2025.
  • Pursuing a degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Strong academic performance, with a passion for the aviation industry and customer service.
Experience
  • No prior work experience required. However, any previous internships, volunteer work, or school projects related to aviation, business management, or customer service is an advantage.
  • Enthusiasm to learn and a proactive attitude are essential.
Skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
