Interns will work directly with Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport departments, learning about airport operations, customer service, logistics, safety, and more. This internship will provide a comprehensive understanding of the day-to-day operations of a major international airport, preparing interns for future careers in aviation, business, and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Airport Departments: Assist various airport departments including Operations, Customer Service, Marketing, Security, and Logistics in their daily tasks.
- Assist with Airport Operations: Gain exposure to ground operations, airside management, baggage handling, and coordination of airport services.
- Customer Service and Interaction: Engage with airport passengers to provide information and ensure a seamless travel experience.
- Support Special Projects: Assist in organizing and executing events, presentations, and marketing campaigns.
- Research and Reporting: Help in data collection, analysis, and report preparation to improve airport processes and services.
- Safety and Compliance: Observe and assist with safety protocols and emergency response drills to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and airport policies.
Qualifications
- Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Aviation, Business Administration, Hospitality, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Strong academic record (minimum GPA of 3.0).
- Must be enrolled in school for the duration of the internship and returning to school following the internship period.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service, airport operations, or hospitality is preferred, but not required.
- Experience in a team environment or any leadership roles in school or extracurricular activities is an asset.
