The Washtenaw Community College (WCC) Internship Research Program 2025 is designed to provide students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a research-focused environment. Interns will work closely with faculty and staff to assist in various research projects, applying classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios. The program aims to foster critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills while offering a comprehensive introduction to the research process in a collaborative and supportive academic environment.
- Assist with conducting literature reviews, data collection, and analysis across various research projects.
- Support the development and design of research materials and surveys.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss project progress and findings.
- Organize and maintain research data and documentation in compliance with ethical and regulatory guidelines.
- Present research findings through reports, presentations, and other formats as required.
- Collaborate with faculty and other researchers to refine research methodologies and objectives.
- Attend training sessions and workshops related to research methodologies, data analysis, and other relevant topics.
- Provide general support in research-related tasks as needed.
- Ensure research activities adhere to ethical guidelines and institutional policies.
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student at Washtenaw Community College, pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
- Strong academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Enrollment in relevant fields of study such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics, social sciences, humanities, or related disciplines is preferred.
- Must demonstrate a keen interest in research and academic inquiry.
- revious academic or research experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience with data collection, analysis, or literature reviews is a plus.
- Familiarity with research tools or software (e.g., SPSS, Excel, NVivo) is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
