Description
Consumers Energy is seeking motivated and innovative college students to join our 2025 Internship Program. This is a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the energy industry while contributing to impactful projects across various business functions. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams across different departments to support ongoing projects and business initiatives.
- Assist in analyzing data, preparing reports, and providing recommendations to improve processes or enhance customer experiences.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new technologies or solutions in areas like energy production, sustainability, and operations.
- Support project management activities, including documentation, scheduling, and coordination.
- Attend weekly meetings with mentors and managers to discuss progress and receive feedback.
- Contribute to problem-solving sessions, brainstorming ideas, and providing creative input for departmental projects.
- Gain exposure to company culture and the energy industry through networking events, seminars, and mentorship programs.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (preferably in fields such as Engineering, Business, Marketing, Finance, IT, Environmental Science, or related disciplines).
- Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred.
Experience
- Previous internship or relevant academic projects in related fields is a plus but not required.
- Active involvement in student organizations, clubs, or volunteer work demonstrating leadership or teamwork skills.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills with a passion for problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) or similar software.
- A keen interest in the energy sector and sustainability practices is preferred.
