Description

The DFW Airport Summer Internship Program for 2025 offers college students the chance to gain practical, hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced aviation and transportation environment. Interns will contribute to key projects across various departments, learning about airport operations, customer service, logistics, safety, and business management. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to develop professional skills, build industry knowledge, and explore career opportunities within the aviation sector.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with day-to-day operations in assigned departments such as Customer Service, Airport Operations, Business Development, Marketing, or Security.
  • Support project teams with research, data analysis, and preparing reports or presentations.
  • Help with event planning, coordination, and execution of airport community outreach or marketing campaigns.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of operational improvements, safety protocols, and customer service initiatives.
  • Collaborate with staff to enhance airport efficiency, ensure smooth operations, and improve passenger experience.
  • Attend meetings and assist in taking notes, following up on action items, and preparing materials.
  • Assist with the creation of communication materials, including newsletters, presentations, and signage.
  • Learn about and contribute to airport sustainability, safety, and innovation projects.
  • Participate in networking events, career development workshops, and mentorship opportunities.
  • Provide general administrative support and assist with various ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Business Administration, Aviation Management, Marketing, Public Relations, Hospitality, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Rising juniors or seniors (students entering their junior or senior year in Fall 2025) are strongly preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Availability to work full-time during the summer (typically May-August).
  • Strong academic standing with a keen interest in pursuing a career in aviation, transportation, or related industries.
Experience
  • Previous internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer experience in customer service, aviation, business, or related fields is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with airport operations, aviation industry standards, or logistics is advantageous.
  • Experience with project management, event planning, or marketing is beneficial.
Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
