Description

Citizens Property Insurance Corporation is excited to welcome enthusiastic interns for our 2025 internship program. This program is designed for students and recent graduates interested in gaining hands-on experience in insurance, risk management, finance, information technology, or customer service. Interns will contribute to impactful projects that help protect policyholders and support Citizens’ mission to provide reliable insurance coverage for Floridians.

Responsibilities
  • Risk and Claims Analysis: Assist in evaluating insurance claims, analyzing risks, and conducting reviews to support effective claims management.
  • Data Collection and Reporting: Gather and analyze data to support actuarial studies, underwriting processes, or IT infrastructure improvements, depending on the focus area.
  • Customer Support and Policy Assistance: Help develop resources for policyholder education, assisting with customer service initiatives, and improving service standards.
  • Project Management Support: Participate in ongoing projects to improve operational efficiency and support process improvements within Citizens’ departments.
  • Administrative Support: Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and assist in meetings and presentations to contribute to the team’s productivity.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university with a major in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong academic performance and interest in the insurance industry.
  • Must have U.S. work authorization and be available to work in the summer of 2025.
Experience
  • Previous internship or related experience in insurance, finance, risk management, or IT is a plus.
  • Experience with data analysis, customer service, or project management is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with insurance industry principles or financial regulations is preferred.
Skills
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing data, identifying trends, and making informed recommendations.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and organization in managing data and reports.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a team, demonstrating adaptability and initiative.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with data analysis tools, Microsoft Office Suite, or relevant software in insurance or finance fields.
